DON'T BE DISTRACTED BY RABBITS

Sometime ago, I went to church for a "regular" church service. When it was time to preach, I had gotten my pen and bible ready for bible quotations and a power filled sermon on the life of Jesus.

The preacher carefully mounted the pulpit and began to tell a story....read on.

Once upon a time, there lived a village hunter; he had gained so much fame for his hunting skills within his village and in neighboring communities. He was the master hunter. One day, he decided to go to  'Lions country' to hunt Lions. After so much preparation, he was set to leave.

His wife called him aside and said, "When you get to Lions country, PLEASE DON'T DISTRACTED BY RABBITS".

This is weird...for crying out loud this man wanted to go to Lions country to hunt Lions!!!

Its expected that his entire focus would be on Lions and here was his unskilled wife telling him what to do and what not to do...(women though)

You see, Mr hunter was famed for always catching his targets; his targets were mostly small animals , rabbits, etc. Now that he wanted to move to a new place to catch " Lions" he needed a paradigm shift.

1)He needed to realise that he was going for the "big stuff" and not the small stuff he was used to (TARGET)

2) He needed to remember that there are also small animals in Lions country (DISTRACTIONS)

3) He needed to remember his aim of coming to Lions country...hunting Lions only (MISSION)

4) He needed to concentrate all his efforts chasing that mission (FOCUS)

5) No matter how big the RABBIT seems, he needed to remember the rabbit was not his reason for coming to Lions country...RABBITS ARE NOT LIONS (KNOWING THE DIFFERENCE)

Dear young entrepreneur,

There are rabbits everywhere(they are there to serve as food for the Lions and other animals in Lions country)

The rabbits might look attractive but REMEMBER WHY YOU STARTED.

The small small money you are making now might seem like a big deal to you now but REMEMBER THAT WAS NOT YOUR TARGET when you started. You came in for the big stuff...use the small small money as a ladder to get the BIG STUFF.

As much as you might be enjoying the small fame that comes with your position at the moment, REMEMBER you are still climbing the success ladder. Go back to the drawing board and REMEMBER WHY YOU STARTED.
